Don't think we've had an AI conversation on the forums yet?
AI is prevalent in our everyday lives, whether we know it or not. We are exposed to AI images, the way businesses and social media interacts with us is driven by AI now, and it's becoming more prominent in the workplace.
In my line of work, there's a lot of talk of the fear that AI could replace our jobs and take away from the value of what we do. The reality is, despite years of development, there are still a tonne of inaccuracies and limitations to AI that requires human input to check and improve.
Has AI been a positive addition to your life, either personally or professionally, and how do you see it continuining to contribute to your lives moving forward?
You don't have to worry, eventually none of us will have jobs and robots will be providing everything we need for free.
I don’t like the idea of people online even looking at me online and thinking that my features look the way they do because I altered the appearance of my body and face to look the way I do. Or even the notion that it must have been worked on through plastic surgery. It gets frustrating to feel this way too in trying to be as transparent as humanly possible online.
I always feel that AI is always a set clock of what a person can never be and never fully achieve in terms of AI art and AI influencers. The amount of body image issues I see people struggling with while compared to photoshopped and AI images is more than it should.
AI hasn’t impacted or affected me. I do think it’s scary how it can be used to ruin someone’s life though, such as using deepfake technology. It’s crazy how real it can make things look.
Also one time I went through a drive-thru and they used AI to take my order. I thought that was pretty cool lol
