But honestly I think some people think it's funny to say harsh things and walk away after that. So it's all about how you can get along socially with them.
There's been times coworkers have been mean to me, but I can tell they're either stressed out or too obsessed with someone or another coworker and want me to stay away. So... I do. Lol. And everything works out.
Sometimes they're tired out of their minds and are a little grumpy.
Well, what to no end, I try to understand the best I can. Some behaviour is unfavorable to deal with but it's best to just realize that...
People are just people. They're gonna be mean, gnaw at you, scream, they're cranky. And if that happens, I literally talk to them about it when they've calmed down. And you know what happens most of the time? They either say sorry, or they don't, and sometimes they don't care. But that's just them, I've already tried on my part to amend whatever just broke. But if they like the attention, I guess another thing you can do for them is to cause a scene by being loud, telling you how much you appreciate and love them for whatever human being they're trying to be.
Ask yourself this: Everyone deserves some love in their life but are you going to be the one willing to give it back to such a odd human being? If not then I think the best thing to do is either communicate with them, other coworkers/HR if communication between them doesn't work.
So your options are:
be strong and good and strong! :D
make some friends! ^_^
deal with it your way (:<
search for better job options! o:
not take it too seriously (if it doesnt seem to be)
face to face them with "the situation" earlier
communicate! :D
theyre human, not perfect, just human. :l
To be fair, it kind of doesn't matter whatever the discussion or situation with the coworker is to me. If it doesn't correlate with the benefits I reap from my job, then there is nothing to worry about unless it is affecting my performance to do well. So I will do my best to address this to the other person, but making sure they are okay at taking that in, because they are human.
I've had a friend tell me before that if I'm thinking about someone that makes me sad, or angry, or upset, they told me to only think about that person for 20 seconds. And not a second more. Or else, you'll always be thinking, and focusing on how to remediate the situation...
Sometimes it's best to just be happy and remember to laugh everyday, even with all these thoughts we like to include ourselves with. 20 seconds is a good enough time to admit whatever you're feeling and validate it, and decide the best path forward.
Some drama put out there isn't worth it.
