Some people are guided by morals, laws, social status, self-esteem etc... The primary reason I don't do bad things is because (1) I want to be able to live with myself (2) If I'm going to campaign for something, I want to believe in that cause, in this context, the cause is myself (3) Self-preservation (4) countless other factors... But above all, I basically just want to be able to look in the mirror and not **** what I see... how do you feel about doing right? Why do you do it? If you say to "get into heaven" don't feel silly --- every reason to do good is probably a good reason.

Looking back at it, I am not sure. I am still exploring on that.
Bad things lead to regret. Regret is a terrible feeling, why live like that?
I’d say because of the way I was raised and doing bad things wouldn’t feel right, of course :P
some of my moralities are based on being raised in church, or me even liking certain values that people in religion hold.. but also on top of that guilt tends to eat at me, and I rather not live in shame of something that I know I shouldn't have done. My general rule is if its harmful to myself or others it's best to avoid. If it causes mental anguish and trauma, then its best to avoid.
